PHP/MySQL Developer

Lavasoft is looking for an accomplished back-end web developer, with strong skills in PHP and MySQL. We need someone who values effective, highly usable solutions and well-structured, stable systems to join our existing web back-end development. The nature of the high traffic on our systems presents an exciting, creative and challenging environment for someone that genuinely thrives on professional development.

Job Description

• Design and develop web-based back-end systems for both internal and external use
• Design and develop applications for MySQL databases
• Design and develop web-based tools for other departments

Requirements

• Skilled in PHP 5 OOP
• Skilled in MySQL and database design
• Able to produce well-structured and well-documented code
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Able to work as a part of a team and to both give and receive input and advice
• Desires to produce better code every day and to improve constantly
• Speaks at least intermediate English

Desirable

• Experience with XML and SOAP
• Experience with unit testing or at least appreciation for what it can accomplish
• Interest for Agile development, SCRUM and other small-team methodologies
• Pride in providing the end user with a good user experience
